1. Dal Lake, Kashmir

This is the second largest lake of Kashmir.  This lake is  known for its Shikaras and Houseboats for which is visited by number of travellers. The Shikaras available at the lake deliver travellers with ferryboat rides to or and from the banks to the houseboats. It is Surrounded by huge mountains on 3 sides, the banks of this lake are decorated by several blossoming gardens.


2. Shalimar Garden, Kashmir

Shalimar Garden is well known as 'The garden of love'.  This Garden was built in 1616 by Mughal Emperor Jehangir for his wife. This garden has a all-natural fountain, which is the primary point of attraction. This place has a very huge and wonderful rose garden cantaining numerous species of flowers

3. Betab Valley, Kashmir

Betab valley has earned its name from the popular Bollywood movie 'Betab'. From Pahalgam Chandanwari Road, it is the wonderful Betab. It is surrounded by snow-covered mountain peaks and thick pine and deodar forests. There is a properly maintained garden in the valley and a bridge to cross the Sheshnag stream which comes from Amarnath shrine.
 

4. Nishat Garden, Kashmir

Nishat Garden, located on the banks of the attractive Dal Lake, is one of the largest Mughal gardens. Known as "the garden of bliss.  Travellers can also see a small spring located behind the garden, which is generally recognized as Gopi Tirth.  This garden provides a beautiful view of Dal Lake along with neighbouring mountains.

5. Chashm-e-shahi, Kashmir

Chashm-e-Shahi is located over the Nehru Memorial Park. This garden provides a wonderful view of Dal Lake combined with nearby mountains. The other destinations of this garden include an aqueduct and few waterfalls. The water for these fountains comes from the spring season. There is a little shrine, situated near to this garden, which is well known as the Chasma Sahib

6. Nagin Lake, Kashmir

Hari Parbat lies to the west while Takht-e-Suleiman lies on the south of this lake, Bathing water-skis, boats, and motor launches are all readily available for hire at this lake for tourists.
 

7. Drass, Kashmir

Drass, the second coolest inhabited place in the world, it is located at a height of 3,230 m. Located at a distance of approximately 60 km to the west of Kargil, the location is a small township located in the heart of valley, which is denoted by the similar name. Zojila pass, which is known as the Himalayan Gateway to Ladakh.

Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial Botanical Garden is a wonderful lake spread over 17 hectares in the complex. Paddle boat and other facilities are available in this lake. Besides, it has a pleasant water garden and some fascinating waterfalls. Dal Lake and Mughal Garden are the other two sight-seeing destinations in the neighbourhood of the Botanical Garden.

10. Gulmarg Biosphere Reserve, Kashmir
